I love Corrie. Glad that Maria finally told Tracy what had been going on. It's about time someone sorted Charlie out I think.

I liked the way Shelly stood :-D up to Charlie over the baby, you could see she was still scared by him but still had the guts to say her bit and walk away from him........good on you Shelly.

Also Charlie getting murdered, wonder who that will be, is it going to be too obvious for it to be Tracy, maybe it might be Claire, now that would be a surprise.

is this good or bad?

Rover returns
Soap fans will be whooping with delight at the news that teenage heart-throb Richard Fleeshman could soon be back in Coronation Street. TV bosses have reportedly made the 17-year-old star an offer after hearing he was considering quitting the West End musical he left Corrie for last autumn.

The production, called Over Here!, has been beset by problems which have delayed its start date – and, according to the Daily Star on Sunday, Richard has become increasingly concerned that he’s wasted valuable career time. A friend told the newspaper: “Richard has already been contacted by the Street. They’re desperate to have him back and have made him a very generous offer. He loved his time there and is giving it serious consideration.”

Viewers last saw Richard’s character Craig Harris leaving tearful Rosie Webster behind as he caught a train for Berlin. The young lovebirds had planned to run away together to the German capital while on a family holiday to Paris. At the last minute, Craig went on his own, leaving Rosie heartbroken… but the door was left open for him to return.

Corrie's killer plot
There's no denying that Coronation Street's Platt family can be an irritating bunch. Gail's constant nagging would get on anyone's nerves, while Sarah and Jason's endless smooching regularly has us reaching for the sick bucket. Meanwhile, seven-year-old Bethany sounds scarily as if she's been smoking 20 Bensons a day since she cut her first tooth. But still, that's hardly grounds for a mass murder.

According to reports, moody teen David Platt's raging hormones are about to get the better of him, as he plots to murder his entire family in an horrific shooting spree, and then kill himself. Mum Gail, sister Sarah, grandmother Audrey, hairdresser Maria and Sarah's builder boyfriend Jason are all in his sights (blimey, this is going to make Richard Hillman look like Mother Teresa). The writers, who hope soap fans will be gripped by the grim plot, apparently used real-life incidents of so-called "family annihilators" as inspiration.

Over a period of months, David will turn into a psychopath, who finally snaps when his friends and family mock him after learning that he lied about having sex with Mel Morton. A Street source told the Daily Mirror: "There will be some incredibly chilling scenes. It will be a superb, slow-burning plot which will take ages to come to the boil." The insider added: "It's well known that Tina O'Brien is leaving the show - it could be a great way for her character to go."

I think that is crazy. The same family as what happened a couple of years ago. Do they not have any other storylines that they could do?

Former Coronation Street icon Charlie Lawson is to return to the Cobbles later this year.

The 47-year-old Jim McDonald actor is on the verge of signing a six-week contract with the Weatherfield soap and will feature in a pre-Christmas storyline.

Viewers last saw Jim back in 2003 when he escaped the clutches of the prison service after learning this his then-wife, Liz (Bev Callard), may have been having an affair with a pub landlord in Blackpool.

However, Liz and Jim's attempted escape to Ireland failed when they found themselves rescuing Claire (Julia Haworth) and Ashley (Steven Arnold) from a stranded boat, resulting in the boys in blue catching up with them both.

A Weatherfield source revealed to The Sun: "Liz has had a chequered love life since divorcing Jim a second time.

"So whether she'll be pleased to see him again remains to be seen. We're guessing not – though with those two, anything can happen."

Charlie is due to return to filming with the Manchester-based ITV soap in October and will make his on-screen re-appearance in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Over the festive period, Charlie will also be appearing at Stockport Plaza as Aladdin panto baddie Abanazer.

I'm sure he will cause a lot of trouble between Liz and Vernon because they are already a bit rocky after her affair.
