"Customers large and small have been hoping the CWU would lift the strike threats and focus on providing the service they need and want," said Royal Mail managing director Mark Higson.
"Instead the union has given them a slap in the face."
Business Secretary Lord Mandelson told the BBC the union's decision to strike "amounts to a death wish". |

| I think it's sad it could spell the beginning of the end of postal deliveries by the royal mail and I have a feeling we will miss it when it's gone |

I asked this same question in another thread to you Frys? Why ae you so upset over the postal strike.
I mean do you or any of your family work for them, depend on them for high urgency dependant needs?? |

| i have penpal letters nearly everyday and it will probably mean all my letters will go missing yet again, that and ive read it may delay the xmas deliveries, i usually send out family xmas presents and if what theyre saying is true then nobody will get their gifts |

| Yes we are all in similar positions Frys but I'm guessing the men fighting for their jobs have bigger worries still. |

Frys if that is all you have to be worried about then thank your lucky stars
My hubby as I have stated is apostie, which you seem to have not acknowledged one way or another. Let me tell you him and alot of others have no desire to strike BUT if they do there lives will be made hell. they will be called SCABS and all sorts.
All you have to worry about are not getting a couple of letters 
Me what do I have to worry about Paul losing a hell of alot of money through a strike that him and many others dont.!!
sorry if you think I am being harsh BUT as I say you are only depending on letters US survival |

| it only bothers me because the postal service by us (probably the employees they got rather than the actual service i dunno) are reckless with peoples post, weve had bills,letters and parcels delivered to the wrong address many times and i just feel a strike is the last thing we need esp when strikes have known to cause mail to go missing, during the last strike i never recieved about 4 bills and if i hadnt have realised and paid anyway i would have been in a lot of trouble and it was all down to royal mail, a lot of people just have no confidence in them anymore |

Bad management I would guess Frys so even more reason for the postal workers to resist more changes.
Debs I hope it all stops before you get too far embroiled it is a terrible time when strikes happen I remember some real hardships back in the seventies
