I find charity shops sell books cheaper than our library and they check all the pages are in each book - lost count of how many stories were spoiled by having pages missing

Paperbacks are 20p each or 6 for £1 and hardbacks are 40p each or 5 for £1

I always check that the books are complete, in fact a couple of the hardbacks I got last time looked almost brand new

They must be cheaper where you are, they are rarely less than a pound each when our library has a sale. In the charity shops locally I can get 3 for a pound.

The library are having another sale today and tomorrow so I'm off to have a look on my way home from work as I've seen a couple of books in the window that have been there right from the first sale - they're right at the end of the table so I think people just haven't bothered looking at them

Yes I did - I found another 3 books

Would you believe though the books I were after had gone    Obviously somebody else had had the same idea as me
