Piers Morgan 'to get primetime chatshow' - confirmed

I cant stand this guy so i wont be watching

Piers Morgan is close to agreeing a deal to present a primetime chatshow for ITV1, according to a report.

The contract, said to be worth £2m, would tie the Britain's Got Talent judge to ITV.

The Sun quoted an anonymous source at the broadcaster.

"He’s doing a lot for ITV and it makes sense to get him on an exclusive deal," he said. "We have the biggest names on TV with ITV - Simon Cowell and Ant and Dec. Now we have Morgan!"

Piers Morgan has signed a two-year deal with ITV1 that will see him present his own chatshow, it has been confirmed.

The Britain's Got Talent judge is the first big-name signing for Peter Fincham, who became director of television at ITV earlier this month.

Morgan will return for a third series of the reality hit and start his chatshow next year under the deal.

"I am delighted to be joining ITV at such an exciting time of change and evolution for the network, and look forward to making some innovative new entertainment programmes over the next few years," he said.

Fincham said: "I’m delighted that we have been able to secure an exclusive partnership with him on ITV."

I have grown to like him on Britain's got talent - but still not sure what he will be like as a chatshow host
