They were favourites of mine too but not read em in ages.

I've just finished a Torchwood novel and I read a book based on the Supernatural tv series while I was on holiday. Well almost finished it

Not really sure as to continue with the above book, it's very touching and sad.
Her first book was sad, but not as sad as this one.
I sit here and think "Why do I read it when I know it will play on my mind"...actually I know why I read it

I'm wanting that for Christmas, but now that I'veread your post I'm not sure I want to read it.  Read the first one and I was in tears at the end so not sure what I'd be like with the new one Gloria's written

The Blood-Dimmed Tide by Rennie Airth and I'm really enjoying it

It is 1932 and John Madden, former Scotland Yard inspectot, is now a farmer in the peaceful Surrey countryside...

But the family's peace is about to be shattered.  When a young girl goes missing, it is Madden who discovers her disfigured body hidden in a wood, and he is convinced the killer has struck before...

This book was one of the 20p ones I got in the library sale
