Not quite sure what to think - in our culture this is very wrong and he is a pedophile but in theirs it seems perfectly natural, do we have the right to make them conform to our standards ? I am really not sure

Well quite but I am sure she has realised that even a couple of days later. And she won't have the responsibility for long if her child gets married in 11 years she will only be 22 herself !

The father is not allowed to live with her may be facing a jail sentence but they were allowed to marry?

I shall probably be shot down for this but I would not consider him a paedophile - just a teenager doing what teenagers do

When I was at school in the 1970's there was one girl who got married the day after her 16th birthday and had her third baby the day after. Her mum had adopted the two other babies.

cant say this kinda thing shocks me anymore, mothers seem to be getting younger by the day

she doesnt look 11 though, she looks quite a bit older than that

Trouble is she must have been 10 and he was 18 when they started this sexual relationship - which does trouble me, but as I said previously this is a different culture so it's hard to judge.

I think he should be chucked in to jail ..in the name of God a child is a child and to me an 11yr old is only a child herself and could not take care of a wee baby ...

I would agree if this was happening in this country, we can't however project our cultural views onto other countries. Unless we are prepared to allow them to also change us.
