Boyzone's Stephen Gately is dead

What terrible news!  My thoughts are with his family and friends

The Boyzone singer Stephen Gately, 33, has been found dead while on holiday in Majorca.

The group's tour website said that he had "tragically died" and that the rest of the band would be flying out to Majorca on Sunday.

The website also said Gately had been on holiday with his long-term partner Andy Cowles when he died on Saturday.

I thought this was going to be a bad joke - but thought MM wouldn't do that surely ! Most celeb deaths I usually see in some way coming but this is a complete shock. Thoughts are with his family and friends and of course his partner - they must be in complete shock. ...

When Paul just shouted upstairs to me I could not believe what he was saying. I had to switch the PC on to confirm this sad terrible tragic news.

i read about it as soon as i went on facebook, am totally devastated, he was such a lovely guy and so full on energy on the tours

Poor man    slightly shocked at the daily mail this morning they have done a hatchet job on him really not needed so soon after he died - actually not needed ever IMO.

All the papers seem to have a different headline this morning

Perhaps they should stop speculating and wait for the official Coroners Report!

Yes it seems to be speculation at the moment and I do wonder if we actually have any right or need to know exactly what happened anyway - let the poor family be ....
