Katies miscarriage | Quote: | Katie Price has revealed she suffered a miscarriage less than a month before her split from husband Peter Andre.
In a tearful TV interview the glamour model told how she lost the baby ten weeks into her pregnancy but continued to run the London Marathon a week later because she did not want to let down sponsors.
Price, aka Jordan, said in the programme to be screened on ITV1 she never dreamed she would ever divorce Andre and denied a fling with dressage trainer Andrew Gould.
Price said she lost the child while she and Andre filmed in the US.
"I was pregnant in America and the baby died," she told presenter Piers Morgan in her first major interview since her separation.
The miscarriage only became clear on her return during a routine scan. "(The doctor) was poking the thing around on my belly and it was moving, and he said that he can't see a heartbeat but he said, 'Let me check, so let me do some bloods (blood tests)'.
"So he done some bloods and three days later he called me up and said, 'I think it's the HGC (hormone) level is still high which means that it could still be alive'."
The mother of three added: "At this point I knew I had to do the marathon in a week's time, so my head was going like this because I thought, 'I've got to do the marathon, I can't let people down, I've trained all this time, I've got all this money, what am I going to do, can I still run it?"'
She had further tests which indicated the foetus was still developing and she was asked to return to hospital to check for heartbeat.
"I went in thinking, 'He's going to be great, he's going to see a heartbeat.' And it was on the screen and you know they poke the thing around, he said, 'No it's, it's died, it's gone'.
"I said, 'Well, what am I going to do?' I said, 'You know, I've got the marathon' as well, because all this was going on in my head. And he said, 'Well, we can terminate it tonight'. So I had to be there, I had to be put to sleep and have it terminated."
On Katie Price Exclusive - With Piers Morgan to be screened at 9pm, Price adds: "Emotionally for any woman, whether you're in the media or not, to have a baby died, run the marathon, which is also a big thing on your body, and then your husband wants a divorce, split up. That's a lot for someone to take in."
Despite her difficulties in the past months, Price said she was coping.
"I'm actually in a really good place, I'm really happy, I'm really focused, I'm feeling really strong and obviously I've had to deal with a lot but yeah, I'm doing really well," she said.
"I am not hurting, I am being the real me. The real me that I should have been like when I was with Pete, then no problems would have started.
"I'm going to say to people, and even when I next find a guy, that you've just got to be yourself. You can't just change someone and you've just got to be yourself - you really have got to be yourself."

She is being very silly IMO, instead of coming out with increasingly desperate PR interviews she should be just concentrating on her family - in the end she would get far more people "on her side" if she did.
