Police Uncover Body in Suitcaseyah5.gif
A body buried in a suitcase has been uncovered by detectives searching for a missing 62-year-old man.
The buried suitcase was uncovered on Saturday by police near a footpath linking Throop Road with Cheshire Drive in Bournemouth, police said.
They believe the body is that of Richard Henry Emery, 62, who disappeared from his flat in the Townsend area at the end of April.
A 34-year-old man and a woman, 46, from Bournemouth have been arrested.
Det Ch Insp Neil Redstone, who is leading the murder investigation, said: "A large suitcase was dug up from the site where it had been buried and we have now established that the suitcase contained the body of a man.
"While we have yet to formally identify the body, we have reliable information that it is the body of Mr Emery."
