Race car crashes into spectators
This is breaking news on the BBC website...
| Quote: | Five people were hurt, two with life-threatening injuries, when a racing car left a circuit in Oxfordshire and collided with spectators.
The car careered off Abingdon race track at about 0930 BST. The two most badly injured spectators were airlifted to hospital.
Two other spectators were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious injuries.
The driver was treated at the scene and later released. |
