That is terrible

Surely the teacher would have known that he was being tested for autism / aspergers?

This is beyond terrible

Oh i just saw this, that is outrageous  yah5.gif

Absolutely disgusting, if the authority has any sense they'll fire her without delay

I see your points everyone... however i would like to know how the teacher felt. Sounds like she needed support. Yes the child was being tested for aspergers/autism... but it still does not help the fact that the child is a challenge. Imagine having a room full of children and one of them is being disruptive so he or the others couldn't learn properly. I bet the teacher was pulling her hair out everyday. If he has not been diagnosed yet then no support will have been available or sought after. With no statement of special needs - who knows what was going on!

The child needed support
The teacher needed support.

I hope the teacher is better supported in the future.

I also see what you're saying Zodiac but it was still entirely the wrong thing to do, getting his classmates to vote on whether or not he should be allowed to stay with them!

I agree with what Zodiac said about the teacher needing support but she went the wrong way about getting it really. All she's done is isolate the child even more than he possibly already was. Children can be cruel enough when faced with others who may be different to themselves. Just my opinion though

Oh i am in complete agreement - if it isn't in school policy to have a voting classroom and to deal with matters then it was the wrong thing to do.

If parents are aware that this is how things are done (which we know is unlikely that the school does do this) then it's to be expected.

The teacher should be in trouble for not sticking to school morals or rules. The teacher in question should have known what to do next - and thats go higher up. (If the parents have been consulted already that is)

What made the teacher do this without anyone in authority realising?

A good question Zodiac  045.gif
We'll probably never know all the facts about this incident
