Westlife play scorching gig - literallyWestlife literally heated up their show last night (March 5) as a stray firework set the stage rigging on fire!
The Irish pop stalwarts were singing new track, 'Us Against The World' as the stray pyrotechnic caught fire, forcing the boys to flee the stage for 10 minutes while firefighters tackled the blaze.
Nicky Byrne told the Daily Mirror: "It was a one in a million chance, but the fire service dealt with it and we got on with the show."
Fans at the Newcastle Arena gig weren't left disappointed though as they came back on for an impromptu rendition of Take That's 'Relight My Fire' and the Prodigy's 'Firestarter'
