LOVE Whiter Shade of Pale. I remember virtually ALL the weddings we went to in the early 70's had it played in the church.
| Quote: | | The Hammond organ line of "A Whiter Shade of Pale" was inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach's "Sleepers Awake" and "Air on a G String", but contrary to popular belief, the song is not a direct copy or paraphrase of any music by Bach.[8] This similarity is referenced in the 1982 play The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard and the 1991 film The Commitments. | I think this is why they were able to play it in the church.
My niece wanted Angels played at her civil ceremony...but was told she couldn't because it had the word 'angel' in it - she was told they couldn't use ANY song if it had anything with remotely 'religeous' connections
