|
|
| Quote: | Health bosses in Suffolk have been trying to find a way to transport a "super-obese" man to another county for life-saving treatment.
The Ipswich man who has not been named, weighs about 70 stone (445kg).
He needs to travel from his home to a hospital in Chichester, West Sussex, for life-saving specialist treatment.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Primary Care Trust said the man will probably be taken by road in a specialist ambulance.
A final decision has not been taken and a number of travel options, including an airlift, have been considered, she added. |

| There does come a point where a persons metabolism slows to almost nothing and then no matter how few calories are consumed a person still puts on weight. That seems to be what happens to these people that get to these enormous sizes, but to get to that stage I repeat someone is feeding him. Usually a partner or parent who want to keep the person big because in some way it is convenient to them or fulfills some hole in their lives. |

It said in the paper I read that he consumes 3 Family size takeaways a night...
As Julie has pointed out someone must be feeding him/going to get these takeaways as he is bed ridden and has been for 8 years ...so who is the one to blame here.
But more over what I would like to know is how is he paying for these meals EVERY night!!! I know if I go out and feed my family on Take Away I don't get any change out of £20, sometimes it costs more! so times that by 3 then by 7...
Nice to know what my Tax goes on |

| Good point Katy - having watched a programme where 3 celebs go and live with people living on the bread line last night I was quite amazed that Steven and I and indeed Tasha and Grace are all living below the bread line but oddly we all work and manage to keep clean tidy homes ! We also all pay tax which is keeping these people in Bingo/smoking and eating out somethings none of us could afford to do ! |
